The Crowd-Sourcing Music Institute is a project first started in 2017 by DoSoMi Ltd. and a group of piano teachers in Shenzhen. It quickly developed into a democratic learning organization in which members champion life-long learning and free sharing of ideas.
Every year, we invite speakers and instructors to share ideas online or face-to-face based on a vote by all members of the institute. Moreover, members contribute financial resources and their time and effort to make all events possible.
Our past speakers and instructors include renowned educators from abroad and China, such as Victoria Mushkatkol of the Juilliard School of Music, Irina Gorin, Lian Yao, and Jia Wu. For 2019, our invitation list includes Ts’ong Fou, Jerome Lowenthal, Guangren Zhou, Zhaoyi Dan, Wanghua Chu, Zhao Zhang, Don Rechtman, and many more.
